Alligator clips can be used to temporarily, secure and hold wiring connections together for testing and maintenance purposes. Clips also ideal for home, auto or shop use, as spring-loaded design holds securely to point of contact. To use for making test leads, strip & twist wire together & insert through barrel, out loop to outside of clip and wind clockwise around screw. Tighten screw and crimp barrel around wire. For a crimp connection only, fold stripped wires back onto insulation, insert into barrel & crimp. Fold stripped wires make electrical connection. For soldering remove screw and insert wires through loop to inside of clip and solder wires to clip. Clip insulators are available but sold separately.
