Cotter Pins are measured by the diameter of two prongs compressed together and the length of the pin from eye to the shorter prong end. Select a Pin slightly smaller than the diameter of your hole and longer than the length of your hole to allow for bending. One prong is slightly long than the other for easier separation and bending. Bend prongs outward in separate directions to secure. No special tools are required for installation.
