Dielectric Grease acts as an environment seal, protecting metal contacts from oxygen, moisture, debris and other contaminants so oxidation and corrosion do not occur. Applying a very thin light coating of the Grease will keep electrical components, such as battery terminals, auto light bulbs, etc from oxidation but does not inhibit the flow of conductivity. It is important to apply the Grease but also important to make it only a very light coating.
